Palace on the Island
Originally the Baroque Pavilion of the Royal Łazienki Park, and from 1775 the summer residence of the last Polish King, Stanisław August Poniatowski. The Palace lies on an artificial island surrounded by a pond. It is one of the most beautiful buildings of the Royal Łazienki Park in Warsaw.
PRESTO concerts take place in a beautiful ballroom suitable for up to 150 people. During the break our guests, with a glass of wine can admire the Dining Hall, location of the famous “Thursday Dinners” given by the last Polish King, Stanisław August Poniatowski.
Myślewicki Palace
The palace was created on the initiative of Stanisław August Poniatowski and was originally inhabited by royal courtiers. Later the palace became the seat of Prince Jozef Poniatowski.
Small rooms in the amphitheatre with beautiful period furnishings, art collections, 18th century paintings and preserved polychromes are a real treat to the eye.
PRESTO concerts take place in a small, intimate room where the 19th-century, white Steinway concert piano reigns. During the break we invite guests to the famous dining hall. It was here after the war that confidential talks were held between the ambassadors of the People’s Republic of China and the United States of America. These talks were a diplomatic breakthrough for both countries.
Stanisławowski Theatre
In the east wing of the famous Stanisławowski Theatre, there is a world-famous 200-seat court theatre. It is named after its founder, Stanisław August Poniatowski. At that time the theatre was mainly intended for the king and his courtiers.
Now, guests of the Concert Agency PRESTO can hear in this extraordinary interior the recital of Fryderyk Chopin’s music, and during the break admire the unique decoration of the auditorium. There are medallions with famous ancient dramas, the king’s impressive coat of arms, and above all illusionist murals depicting a performance with a glowing audience, gossiping ladies and courtiers.
