Kayo Nishimizu\"\" is a Japanese national who has lived in Poland since 1987. Starting in 2004 Kayo commenced a series of concerts titled “Complete Works of Fryderyk Chopin”. These concerts were performed annually on the anniversaries of Chopin\u2019s birth and death (1st<\/sup> March and 17th<\/sup> October respectively). All of Chopin\u2019s works for solo piano had been performed by Kayo Nishimizu by October 2009. In subsequent performances Kayo has delighted audiences with less well known Chopin works, such as, songs and the composer\u2019s chamber music. Kayo has also performed with orchestra performing Chopin\u2019s Piano Concertos in F minor and E minor.<\/p>\n

In 2005 Kayo, with her performance of the \u201cComplete Works of Fryderyk Chopin\u201d concert series being highlighted, added the Pruszk\u00f3w Mayor Award \u201cUrbs Nova\u201d to her many achievements.<\/p>\n

Since 2010 Kayo has been deeply involved in promoting, in young people, the needs of listening to and understanding of classical music, along with the development of musical culture. She has achieved this through a series of successful school lectures in which she combines music with narrative and multimedia presentations.<\/p>\n

Kayo Nishimizu continues to work on her album series – \u201cChopin\u2019s Music & Stories\u201d. The series commenced in November 2012 with the release of the first record entitled \u201cPoland \u2013 love and grief\u201d.<\/p>\n

This was followed by:<\/p>\n

the second record, \u201c24 Preludes \u2013 the world of imagination\u201d in April 2013,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the third, \u201cThe dances \u2013 fun and nostalgia\u201d in September 2013,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the fourth \u201cImprovisations \u2013 variations \u2013 fantasies\u201d in May 2014,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the \u201cZERO\u201d \u201cWhy do the Japanese people love Chopin so much?\u201d in September 2014,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the fifth \u201c24 Etudes \u2013 philosophy of Chopin\u201d in April 2015\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

and the sixth \u201cSonatas \u2013 time and form\u201d in October 2018.<\/p>\n

Kayo organizes and participates in numerous concerts and cultural events. Always aiming to promote the interest in and love of the arts as well as using her art to help achieve greater cultural integration and understanding. Kayo not only performs as a pianist but educates using the piano and acts as a teacher and translator of the Japanese language.
